FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Vancouver, BC – David Keane, President of the BC LNG Alliance, today made the following statement in response to the BC government’s project development agreement announcement.
“LNG projects are large undertakings that require tens of billions of dollars in capital investment, and therefore require certainty with respect to the fiscal, legal and regulatory framework in British Columbia. Project Development Agreements provide LNG proponents with further clarity and encourage the development of BC’s LNG industry. These agreements will help ensure that BC’s nascent LNG industry can compete globally over the long term and will provide thousands of jobs for British Columbians for generations to come.”
